The most important A very tough descent to the beach, at first there are normal steps, then there are vertical sections where you move like a rock climber. It’s realistic to pass for average physical training, with certain conditions 1. Visiting time. Don't go after 11. It's unbearably hot, the descent takes 40-60 minutes. Narrow paths, part of the time you just stand, as people walk in both directions all day. I don’t see any point in going after 16. You can’t really see the sunset from the beach, the view is better from above, and getting back up is in the dark. We arrived at 8 am and spent the whole day there until 4 pm, this was the best option. 2. What to take for the descent. - Good shoes are a must, ideally sneakers or sneakers; sandals are very dangerous.

This hotel was selected by the operators of an expedition boat trip that we went on that started from Bali. Normally we would not choose to stay in a hotel such as this - it is absolutely vast and we prefer smaller, more intimate properties. Having said that, we found the rooms comfortable and well equipped, the bed huge and comfy, with ensuite walk in shower (small!) The staff were extremely helpful and we were greeted on our return to the hotel on arrival and on return from a day trip buy music and two women presenting a Balinese dance. Lovely! The breakfast choice was enormous and catered for all kinds of tastes and nationalities. The long walking path in front of the hotel (also used a lot by cyclists!) was lovely and mostly shaded if you turned right out of the hotel.

The beach of Kuta should not be confused with the area to which it belongs, which refers to the tight and very busy streets where everything is offered and can happen. The length of the beach is immense, from it you can see pools at Denpasar International Airport. In the high tide, the water comes close to the promenade: it is nature wanting to take back for itself what was grounded. The waves are strong and high, the sea bath is not recommended and red flags every 200m only reinforce this. For surfers, however, the beach is simply perfect. Very similar to our beaches, there are tents and kiosks offering chairs and umbrellas (average 100,000 rupees per combo) and drinks.
