East Coast Park

This linear park stretching for over 10 km along the, obviously, East Coast was quiet on a Tuesday morning. Many of the food venues were closed. We started at the East Coast Lagoon Food Village around 12 noon and everything was closed. There were lots of outdoor activity places and a couple were open – bicycle hire, electric skateboard hire, etc. We saw an automated water ski venue. We finally ate at Parkland Green which was very quiet but had enough open to get something to eat though I think it was a MacDonald’s ice cream. The MRT lines run inland along this section so we resorted to buses to get us back to central Singapore The park is pretty exposed with a few substantial tall trees and palms so there isn’t a lot of shade.

Palawan Beach

We visited on a week day, super sunny beautiful day. While our hotel concierge made sure we knew this beach is "man made", it did not diminish the beauty of it. Easily reached by the free shuttle bus, we walked along the beach and cross the suspension low bridge to reach the sign: The southernmost point of continental Asia. Took the steps up to the lookout towers (connected on the second level), what a million dollar 360 view!! Gorgeous palm trees swaying in the breeze, perfect fine sand beach, bridge across the water.

Siloso Beach

Located on Sentosa Island, the Siloso Beach is renowned for being the hippiest of the three beaches located here (Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong). Siloso is full of people at all times of the day being home to some of the best bars and restaurants in the area. The perfect place for people who love the sun and the sand, Siloso Beach is well known for its outdoor activities, especially beach volleyball.Interestingly, Siloso Beach is an artificial one, which has been reclaimed using sand that was brought from Indonesia and Malaysia.
